Shipping Policy

1. Introduction

DIVEIndia (“we” and “us”) operates diveindia.com. By placing an order through our website, you agree to the terms below. These are provided to ensure both parties are aware of and agree upon this arrangement, to mutually protect and set expectations on our service. DIVEIndia stocks scuba diving gear, supplied by Purple Octopus Ventures, from leading brands including Aqualung, Mares, Shearwater, Tusa, etc. at globally competitive prices. All orders are fulfilled with a GST invoice and manufacturer warranty.

2. Definitions & Key Terms

To help explain things as clearly as possible, every time any of these terms are referenced they are strictly defined as:

Company: When this policy mentions “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to DIVEIndia, responsible for your order under this Shipping Policy.

Customer / You: The individual placing an order through diveindia.com or directly with any DIVEIndia location.

Order: A purchase of one or more products made through our website or directly with our team.

Domestic Shipping: Delivery within India.

International Shipping: Delivery to any country outside India.

Backordered Item: An item that is temporarily out of stock but can be ordered in advance of availability.

Courier / Carrier: The third-party logistics provider engaged to transport your order to its destination.

3. Order Processing

Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website, but from time to time there may be a discrepancy and we may not be able to fulfil all items at the time of purchase.

  • In such instances, we will fulfil the available products and contact you about whether you prefer to await restocking of the backordered item or would like us to process a refund.
  • Orders are processed within 1–2 business days of receipt of payment confirmation.
  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working business day.
  • You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been dispatched, including tracking details where applicable.

We operate a strong one transparent price policy. All discounts are listed publicly and everyone receives the same pricing. Prices are quoted inclusive of all applicable GST.

4. Domestic Shipping (Within India)

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of items in the order. The price displayed at checkout will be the final shipping cost charged to the customer.

  • Delivery times are estimates and begin from the date of dispatch, not the date of order.
  • Delivery to addresses within the Andaman & Nicobar Islands may take longer due to the island’s remote location and ferry/cargo schedules.
  • DIVEIndia is not responsible for delays caused by courier partners, weather conditions, strikes, or other events outside our control.

5. International Shipping

We ship scuba gear internationally to divers worldwide. International shipping rates and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on the destination country, item weight, and dimensions.

  • Delivery times are estimates only and may vary based on customs clearance processes in the destination country.
  • Import duties and taxes for international shipments will be pre-paid where possible, with no additional fees to be paid by the customer upon arrival in the destination country. Where this is not possible, the customer will be notified at checkout.
  • DIVEIndia is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities or import regulations in the destination country.

6. Shipping Insurance & Parcel Loss

All parcels are insured for loss and damage up to the declared value of the order as stated by the courier at the time of dispatch.

  • In the event that a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date.
  • We will initiate a claim with the courier/insurer on your behalf and keep you updated on the resolution.
  • DIVEIndia will arrange a replacement or refund once the claim has been processed and accepted by the carrier.
  • Please retain all original packaging and take photographs of any damage upon receipt, as these will be required for the claims process.

7. Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation by email containing your tracking number and a link to the courier’s tracking portal.
  • Tracking information may take up to 24 hours to become active after dispatch.
  • For any tracking issues or queries, please contact us at info@diveindia.com with your order reference number and we will follow up with the courier on your behalf.

8. Cancellations Before Dispatch

If you change your mind before your order has been dispatched, we are able to accept cancellations at any time before the order is shipped.

  • To cancel an order before dispatch, contact us immediately at info@diveindia.com or via WhatsApp with your order reference.
  • If an order has already been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for options in this case.
  • Pre-ordered or backordered items may be cancelled before a confirmed dispatch date is issued; please contact us to confirm status.

9. Returns & Change of Mind

DIVEIndia will accept returns due to a change of mind, provided the following conditions are met:

  • A request to return must be received by us within 14 days of receipt of the item.
  • The item must be returned in its original packaging, unused, and in resaleable condition.
  • Return shipping is at the customer’s expense. The customer is responsible for arranging their own return courier.
  • Once a return is received and accepted, a refund will be processed as store credit for a future purchase. You will be notified by email once this has been completed.
  • Items that have been used, assembled, taken in the water, or whose manufacturer seals have been broken are not eligible for return.

For defective or incorrect items, DIVEIndia will cover return shipping costs and offer a full refund or replacement. Please contact us within 7 days of receipt with photographs of the issue.

10. Incorrect Address & Failed Delivery

  • DIVEIndia is not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses provided by the customer at the time of order.
  • If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, or refusal of delivery, we will contact you to arrange re-delivery. Additional shipping charges will apply.
  • If re-delivery is not requested within 14 days of the parcel being returned to us, the order may be cancelled and a refund issued minus the original shipping cost.
