The XR Dive Plan

Every course you’ve done so far added on to what you could do underwater. This one changes how you think. The SSI Extended Range Program sits at the edge of what recreational diving prepares you for – and then asks you to go further. Deeper dives, longer times, and decompression stops that don’t happen by mishap, but by design. 

Seven days is what it takes to build a diver who deserves this depth. Not just physically, but mentally – from classroom sessions on gear configurations, physiology & human factors, to in-water practice, followed by video debriefs. The course makes you capable of planning a deco dive, managing gas, and handling emergencies like an instinct. 

The Ocean looks very different from the deeper side of the limit. This is where you prepare to experience it.

ITINERARY

Day 0
Orientation + Briefing at the Dive Center
Day 1
The course begins on land – gear configurations, dry runs, and academic sessions to make sense of what’s coming. 
Day 2-3
Confined water sessions – build skills from ground up, learn how to plan dives, wrap it up with debriefs.
Day 4-6
Two open water dives on each day followed by debriefs– each one deeper than the last. 
Day 7
The deepest dive of your life and you’ll have earned every metre of it!

The XR Dive Plan

Prerequisites:

  • Finishing reading your course material is mandatory BEFORE you arrive
  • Take mandatory water fitness evaluations. .
  • You should also have the following SSI certifications or equivalent from any recognized training agency.
    • Deep Diving 
    • Enriched Air Nitrox 40
    • Sidemount Diving, if using a Sidemount Configuration
  • You should have logged a minimum of 50 dives. 

Medical Form:

Before you dive, you’ll need to fill out a medical questionnaire. It is a self-check of your eligibility to dive.

Age Limitations:

  • The minimum age to become the next gen diver is 18 years. 

Price:

  • ₹1,13,000 per person, all inclusive

The XR Dive Plan

  • We’ve got the essentials covered – study material, instructor charges, gear, training dives, certification, snacks & beverages on all dive days, and taxes. 
  • Travel, meals, & stay are additional expenses.

The XR Dive Plan

  • Plan to spend a major part of the day with us & the Ocean
  • There will be debriefing / theory sessions as well. Scheduled per mutual convenience of the student & the Instructor.
  • 2:1. 2 students. 1 instructor.
  • That means more attention, tips for faultless trim, and plenty of time for feedback where it matters most.
  • On the SSI App – your forever dive buddy. Available on Android & iOS. Phones & tablets. Or even a good ol’ browser.
  • Theory, logs, certifications cards…this is your diver flex app, essentially!
  • Yes, and No. For the course, we’ll be providing all gear as necessary. 
  • But, when you commit to the Ocean so deeply, it’s also advisable to commit to personal gear. At least the safety equipment – dive knife, SMB, Mask, Dive Computer.
