Why take an expensive holiday to try this exciting sport, when all you need is half a day? Come get a taste of scuba diving right here in Bangalore.
You will do some theory at home. Then at the start of your water session, our instructor will give you a safety, skills and equipment briefing. After that, you will spend some time in a pool practicing the basic skills and then spend 20 fun-filled minutes diving, and experience the magic of being weightless underwater.
It’s a blast, and as is typical for our programs, we exceed international standards re safety. And it is a great way to give scuba diving a go, before making a decision on whether or not to get certified (and if you decide to get certified, this program counts towards your certification – in fact, you will get a referral to that effect!)
Rs 4,500 + GST.
The PADI Open Water course is the certification course required to become a trained diver. Normally, people do them all in one location while on holiday, but it is possible to complete the preliminary academic and pool training before going on vacation. This will let you save 1-2 days of precious vacation time – instead of spending that time in a classroom environment, you can use that time to have fun and do more dives.
Furthermore, if you are nervous in the water or a weak swimmer, this lets you complete your training at your own pace, without the external pressure imposed by vacation deadlines. The last benefit, of course, is that you know whether this sport is for you before committing to flight tickets, hotels and other travel expenses.
As with all DIVEIndia training, this program is conducted to follow your pace of learning – we estimate that most people can complete it in 2 days, but if it it takes longer, it takes longer. Our goal is to make sure you have learned all the skills thoroughly, and are ready to get hooked to the sport.
Rs 10,500 + GST for the theory and confined water training.
Rs 4,000 + GST for the PADI mandatory materials & certification credit (you can buy this when you complete your training, if you prefer)
If you haven’t dived in a while, or if you are not confident about some of your diving skills or generally feel a little nervous in the water, our refresher and remedial programs will help you fix these issues before you go on your next diving holiday (or give you the confidence to plan your next diving holiday).
The Scuba Refresher is for relatively newer divers, or for people who haven’t dived in a while, but are otherwise fairly comfortable in the water. It’s a great option to give your skills a quick polish before you go on holiday – you will feel more confident and generally be a safer diver. In this program, we review the essential scuba skills with you as well as basic dive theory, and also work on any specific skills or techniques that will be relevant to your diving destination.
The Scuba Boot Camp program is a more advanced remedial program, geared at skills development & improvement. Here, we start by re-building your buoyancy skills, focusing on kicking technique, breathing, and also trim. This program is aimed at correcting the various habits that divers usually pick up when they learn to dive. The end result is that you will be more comfortable in the water and have significantly better air consumption and buoyancy.
Scuba Refresher: Rs 5,000 + GST
Scuba Boot Camp: Rs 6,000 + GST
For certified divers who are planning to continue their diver education, we offer a range of Continuing Education Scuba Training programs.
This allows you the option to complete the pool training for most post-certification specialties before going on holiday. This is particularly useful for programs like Buoyancy, Wreck and Navigation, as well as core courses like Rescue Diver, where the ability to complete some skills and theory in advance frees up a lot of time when on holiday.
We also offer full certification in non-diving programs like Nitrox and CPR/First Aid.

A professional rating represents the highest pinnacle of training in recreational scuba diving – it indicates a thorough knowledge of the theory of the sport (physics, physiology, environment, gear and more), as well as an understanding of the risks and most importantly, the ability to manage not just your safety, but the safety of those around you as well. Whether or not you choose to work in the industry, the training you get as an industry “insider” will really broaden your horizons and understanding of the sport.
The biggest hurdle – becoming a dive pro takes time. Our Andamans training program usually takes around 30 days minimum to get someone up to Divemaster (sure, places do it in less time, but that affects the quality of the training). Many of our divers are interested in the training, but are unable to take that much time off – life comes in the way.
Well, no more. We now offer Bangalore-based divers the chance to complete the bulk of their professional training here in Bangalore, while working at their own pace and schedule. So you no longer have to take a month or more off work in order to complete your professional training. There is no time limit to the program – you proceed at your own pace, and when you are ready, you can go to our dive center in the Andamans (or other dive center) and complete the open-water requirements of your course over the course of a week or so.
Please contact us to discuss.
Please note the following:
- Pool training is conducted at St Joseph’s Indian High School, on Vittal Mallya road in Bangalore.
- Training is offered by prior appointment only.
- Because instructor time has to be allocated carefully, our cancellation policy is different from what you may be used to in the Andamans.
- All participants are required to complete a medical questionnaire and waiver.
