There is nothing as nice as diving with your own set of scuba gear – you know exactly where all the clips and buttons are, you can have customize the set-up as per your preferences, you don’t have to worry about how a different BCD will affect your reg or trim and you are the only person who has peed in your suit (if not, we aren’t judging!).

Until now, it simply did not make sense for us to sell dive gear – it simply cost too much. That is starting to change – as manufacturers improve their distribution into India, buying gear here is starting to make sense. And we want to keep that trend going. However, we are taking on retail with a twist.

Ergo – the DIVEIndia equipment group buys. This is the first of an on-going series of product sales which we plan to offer. Basically, we negotiate aggressive pricing levels with our distributors by offering them volume and pre-payment and then pass the savings on to you.

There is a twist:  instead of offering a full catalog worth of products, we are going to focus on products that we personally believe in, have used and/or would buy with our money or recommend to a friend or loved one. The point isn’t to offer the cheapest product or the most expensive product, but products which are sensibly-priced and good long-term purchases.

DIVEIndia Group Buy #1 – How it works:

  • This group buy has 2 products for sale:  (1) Aqualung i300 Dive Computer (2) Mares Avanti Quattro Plus open-heel fins
  • Each item’s group buy is independent of the other – you can pick either one or both, whatever you want
  • Minimum orders required: 10 for the dive computer and 10 for the fins
  • The group buy runs from July 8 – 22, 2016
  • For each product, there is a Group Buy Price and a Regular Price.vAt the end of the group buy period, if we have the requisite number of people for each product, we will offer that product at the Group Buy Price. If not, we will give people the option of buying at the
  • Regular Price or getting a refund
  • Payment is to be made in advance. Please email sales@diveindia.com to place your order
  • Delivery will be within 4-8 weeks of the order
  • Please see the Terms and Conditions document below – due to the nature of the Group Buy, we have to be somewhat strict about payments, cancellations, etc. It isn’t how we normally do things, but we feel it is a fair trade-off for the lower price
